BDI Intelligent Agents for Augmented Exploitation of Pervasive Environments

چکیده
Agents based application should be able to use pervasive sensors as their own perceptors in order to let the users benefit of context awareness in services exploitation and in order to make mobile services really useful and profitable. The agents described in our approach adapt themselves in response to a changing environment and are able to respond differently, creating entirely new plans, and thus changing their own behavior depending on their past experience. We present a framework that implements the model to supports experts in the domain of the Cultural Heritage to augment the archaeological site with a set of multimedia contents which are delivered by intelligent services to the visitors in order to guide their tour and to enhance their perception of the reality. Synergy between Software Product Line and Intelligent Pervasive Middleware- a PLIPerM Approach
The current pervasive middleware is designed to have a monolithic structure according to a ‘one-size-fits-all’ paradigm, which lacks necessary flexibilities for optimization, customization and adaptation to different situations. Ontology evolution is another problem that has not been addressed by the existing pervasive middleware. In this paper, we propose the marriage of software product line ...
متن کاملAugmenting BDI with relevance Supporting agent-based, pervasive applications
The potential of pervasive mobile systems lies in the integration of applications and services available on mobile devices. These services must be built on the premises of contextawareness, such that the application takes advantage of environmental information to improve its performance. The challenge is to process more environmental information with the limited computational resources availabl...
متن کاملGoverning intelligent virtual agent behaviour with norms
One requirement by which virtual environments (VEs) are judged, is the believability of the virtual agents (VAs). One aspect of believability, is that agent responses to situations should not create cognitive dissonance and thereby distract the observer. One approach to this problem is the use of institutional models providing social reasoning, in conjunction with classical AI techniques provid...
متن کاملLanguages for Programming BDI-style Agents: an Overview
The notion of an intelligent agent as an entity which appears to be the subject of mental attitudes like beliefs, desires and intentions (hence, the BDI acronym) is well known and accepted by many researchers. Besides the definition of various BDI logics, many languages and integrated environments for programming BDI-style agents have been proposed since the early nineties. In this reasoned bib...
متن کاملAugmented Downhill Simplex a Modified Heuristic Optimization Method
Augmented Downhill Simplex Method (ADSM) is introduced here, that is a heuristic combination of Downhill Simplex Method (DSM) with Random Search algorithm. In fact, DSM is an interpretable nonlinear local optimization method. However, it is a local exploitation algorithm; so, it can be trapped in a local minimum. In contrast, random search is a global exploration, but less efficient. Here, rand...
